I was cleaning up last night and thought candied fruit iwas was about to throw outmight make on interesting abstract. My first though was to play with the color saturation and come up with something radical, but I like this version better.

Out of curiousity how long is this stuff good for? I usually throw it away when I am finished cooking for Christmas, but there is no experation date on the package.

Ferny, thank you on the advice on macro's from my previous entry (1/24 scale transportation). I used a desk lamp for lighting and a slower shutter speed. The lamp I used gave a spot light type effect that was great for bringing out the shine here.

I've never known it to go stale.

Interesting entry estill. I'm sitting just staring at it. I think it needs a slight fiddle with its contrast to help is along and that light coloured blob in the bottom left is a bit distracting.

Good work.

Now that I am home using my own monitor I agree with the contrast being off. The moral of the story is quit using the work computer to edit pictures. I've changed the contrast a little, and cloned out the booger looking thing in the lower left corner. Thank you for the suggestion on that. It really didn't bother me, but I think the picture is betteroverall without it.

Here is my second attempt at editing the picture:

If I hadn't of seen the original I wouldn't have known you'd cloned anything.

Don't worry about using the works computer. In the summer I have a nasty habbit of having to edit photos under a coat to see the screen.
