I found a pile of concrete beams used in construction, and I started out by photographing the pattern, but then I thought I'd play with DOF and try focusing on the front of the concrete and then deep within to see what I liked best. Here is what I came up with...

Note the tiny piece of snow hanging on the very end of the beam in the opening... I thought that was interesting, too.

Hi WG,

I like the b & w one. Makes me feel as though I'm standing under skyscrapers built on glass. Perhaps because of this I'd quite like the pic rotated slightly so they looked more balanced. I think it makes a nice abstract. Canna.

Yes, I've tried to get it just right but I can't seem to get it perfectly balanced. Part of it is the placement of the beams on the pallets. I'll keep trying. :-) Thanks for the feedback!

i think it's great off balance..
off balance is something i can't do (lol, obsessive compulsive?), but when it's done, i can appreciate it

i like this one...but the b/w takes it

Great shots, Wisconsin. Nice use of patterns.
