I'm glad you did try it. What was casting the shadow? I looks to short to be a window but I can't think of anything else.

Thanks for the comment Ferny. I believe the shadow was cast by a window. You can see some leaves in the shadows. I took this picture last summer ina house I was staying in duringan internshipin Washington, DC. Anyway, I was sitting watching TV when all of a sudden I saw this this cool shadow being cast and I couldn't resist taking a frame or two:G

i love the highlighting on the picture frame! that rocks

i think this one needs a white border (internet 'frame') around it to seperate it from the forum background...

glad you stopped watching tv for this

I think a white border would destroy the effect. If anything I would increase the contrast a bit to black out the detail in the shadow. As it stands, I think the apeal of this shot is the detail that seems to spring out of the nothingness.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I tried the white border as suggested butit just didn't feel right. I mightplay around withsome frames in photoshopto see if something fits this picture

maybe a dark brown color, inkdropped from the wood in the picture..
