you could probably get another shot, further back, so you can see his whole face..

nice idea! has the makings of a great shot!

I dunno. I like that it's close and all the focus is on what's intended, the eating of an apple. Of course an eye would have been nice. But could that have distracted from the apple?
We'll never know.

I like the muddy fingers. It adds personality to the picture.
The amount of times I had to tell children not to play in the mud this week! You turn your away and they're back at it!

OOTC - without crop or any PP, the original. Too distracting, didn't like the cast shadow, large ear or the loss of what I thought the best detail was - the dirty fingers. The kid was totally engrossed in a gameboy.

I prefer the full image - lots more character; more of the story to imagine.
