Just one of those lazy rainy days, thought the ripple pattern looked interesting...

it definetely does look interesting!

did you try any other angles? a low angle would be nice too

i like the play of light on the ripples, and the pattern of the colors underneath it..

nice work

You also might want to try a polarizer. You'd still get the ripple effect but no reflections, which would make the bottom more visible.

I don't like being out in the rain, but I like the sound of rain. Whether or not this photo could be improved, I don't know. However, looking at it instills a feeling of peace in me. It is a very "relaxing" image. I like it very much. I think it would look great enlarged to 11x14 and hung above my fireplace.

Yes, it does give off a relaxing aura and I bet it'll look great framed and hung up! Thanks for sharing... :-)

Thanks for all the kind words. Like I said before, it was one of those lazy rainy days, I was on vacation (escaping the Minnesota winter!!), we had this one day where it rained quite heavy, the effects of a typhoon several hundred miles south of us. I was sitting under a roof overhang being kind of mesmerized by the sight and sound and figured "What the heck" and grabbed the camera...
