I love this picture. I wansn't sure what to expect when I opened the thread. But the idea behind it is so creative.

I really like it too. Lovely colours, reflections & atmosphere.

Canna.

P.S. It's only on coming back to look at the pic again, that I got the fishing ref. in terms of the 'figure' you can see there ....and I lost the incredibly beautiful pic I was looking at first time round. It's so strange for that to have happened. Once you see one thing (funny fisherman), it's difficult to see the pic in other terms (for me...)

Small fish were breaking the surface and some were coming partially out of the water. I triedmany shots to get one as it jumped out of the water butI was just too slow with the shutter.

The tree has many realities or at least perspectives. Very near the tree is a beaver lodge. It is a nurse log for those ferns and that moss on top. Under the surface of the water many small creatures find shelter and some consider it a lunch counter. The "funny fisherman" can be a metaphor for all of the known and unknown thingshappening in this scene.

Reflections are endlessly fascinating, not just mirroring the world, but often creating a sense of alternate worlds. The branches look like arms, the foliage like a head of hair. All in all, a photograph that's both real and entirely unreal. Nice.

hey man

it took a bit, to get my artistic side to punch out my 'technical' side to really enjoy this one...(my technical side was whining about the dark shadows )

i think it's gorgeous man...the reflections rock (give it a bit of a dreamy look too)

and the tree growing (or fallen) straight into the water is very cool!

i see some ripples from your fish

this shot is a good example...why technical perfection isn't what makes the image great...

nice work

Vito
