The Mindanao Eucalyptus or gum tree has an extremely colorful bark. One could say its bark is better than... I wont go there.

Selvin, I know the picture is probably orientedexactly as the tree was, but I just cocked my head to the side and realized what a wonderful abstract this would be if you rotated it 90 degrees counterclockwise. That eye would look even more like an eye swimming in rather astonishing colors.

Thank you, Selvin! We now have an abstract that includes, not an evil eye, but a little fish swimming in the currents of the sea. Cool.

Barbara I kept wondering about this fish that you saw and honestly didn't see a fish but decided Iwas blocking. This morning, up jumps the fish into my psyche.

Cheers and thanks to all for your comments

There's a Eucalyptus forest near Morro Bay, Calif. (Montanya Del Oro) that smells fantastic. I can only imagine that smell now.
Thanks

Fascinating colors in this bark. I like the abstract. And bet this would be a good conversation piece if it were matted and framed.
