Another old picture. This was in Saratoga State Park. I took it when I first got a digital camera.

it does have a gloomy feel to it, although i'm sure this wasn't too gloomy for you...gettin your new toy

very nice, nicely saturated colors, and i like the composition!

In truth, it doesn't look gloomy to me. It looks peaceful and thoughtful. Vito's right about the composition and the color, both of which lead to those peaceful thoughts.

The park is a half hour's drive from me and is now on my list of places to take my camera. Not only that, but you've reminded me of all the other places that are a mere hop away from here. Funny how we can forget the interesting sights close at hand and, instead, dream of faraway places that must surely be more camera friendly.

Thanks. I'm alway glad to get good comments . Mostly I just really enjoy reading the site and see so many great pics that I just want to post .

So easy to get a large DOF with the little Nikon. My friend and I at work bought the same NIKON 950 camera. He tought me a lot about photogragphy. Now that I have the Rebel I don't go out often to take pictures becuase I don't have the time I use to. I keep thinking I should get a small camera to carry.

Good to see you back Barbara.
