Hi Mactek,

Love this one - especially the way the sun is burns into the hillside, and the subtlety of the changing colours in the sky. Really nice!

As I am currentlybesotted with PS, I would enlarge theglow of sun'srayson the hillside to emphasise it more - but I suspect this maynot be your way of doing things.... (One other real nit picking thing, I'd smudge that tiny twig on the right, out of the pic.)

I like this one very much ....

Canna.

Mactek,

The combination of leafless branches and leaved branches adds a subtle touch to the overall effect. Although I do some what agree with the observation about the tiny twig on the right I could live with it mainly because of its size and the fact as you may have noted from most of my posts the less the better.

Aloha

Hi Mactek and Selvin,

Following yourcomments Selvin - I had a PS bash then compared the two. Macktek I think your original is great as is, my attempts were not any sort of improvement, rather the opposite.....

It is a fab pic.

Thanks for the comments!
I realize that I was in such a rush to post this before the challenge deadline that I did no post editing on the image. That one was right outta the camera. I spent a couple of minutes making some adjustments and removing the twig... Here's an update.

EDIT: Darn spelling errors..

Like the elimination of the errant twig, but I prefer the bit of flare beneath the sun in the original. I haven't a single good reason to justify the preference, however.:-)

Ok, one last try at it. I put the flare back in... :-)

mactek

EDIT: Odd. The compression killed my saturation...Uploaded a higher saturation photo.
