The first of the two photos is particularly wonderful. The underside of the bridge has almost a painterly look to it. How on earth did you manage to expose for this one?

Yep - a blended exposure. I had taken some pictures of the bridge from a distance and they were OK, but as I was walking under it I caught the image of the sun as you see it - combined with a bright blue sky I thought it was a great opportunity. The 'planned' pictures of the bridge are in the trash and those two are the only ones that remain. Funny how often that happens

The top pic is wonderful!
