Nice shot, Selvin. I think you have posted this before but I still like it.

When I was in Hawaii last year, I think I saw this bridge. I didn't get a chance to photograph it because I was on a tour bus and it didn't stop at the park. I guess you could call it a "drive by." Looking forward to seeing it again, in a rental car this time.

Let's all get together and do a group trip to Hawaii. We'll stay at Selvin's house and take really good pictures like this one.

Got room for maybe 20 or 30 people Selvin?

(Selvin will probably never talk to me again.)

It's funny I get a lot of people expressing an interest in visiting me in Hawaii. The most unusual thing is that the number of requests double during the winter months especially from individuals living in the far Northern climes.. It must be something about my charming personality...

In all seriousness, I appreciate the comments about the moon bridge.

I know CalR is planning a visit here shortly and KennthD from other forum is also thinking about a long visit. Barbara, I think my wife will have you beat in the cold shoulder treatment arena if forty folks turn up at our doorstep.

If anyone is thinking about a visit to Oahu please drop mea line. I can let you know if I'll be onOahu since my job occasionally requires neighbor island travel or on the mainland.

We should be able to find something interesting to shoot or if nothing else share a bowl of Saimin together.

Aloha

Boyzo, by cropping out so much of the scene, the little bridge loses context and becomes just a cute little bridge. In Selvin's version, there's contrast between the bridge and that far vista, somehow lending a more secluded feeling.

I'm with Bcoultry on this one

Definitely like your photo, Selvin.

The park and bridge seem to rule above the realm.

Hi Selvin,

I like the way the name of the this bridge is so closely tied to the way it looks. (Maybe the name just grew over time?) In your photograph the 'mooniness' of the bridge isnicely illustrated.
