Not the best quality :roll:but i liked the contrasting colors and textures in this. I also thought it made an interesting entry, surely theres been some treasures found here.....

am i correct in guessing this was a mine?
definetely treasures found there at one time

Thank you vito, after further research I learned it is a quarry used for excavigating limestone primarily. So maybe no treasures after all, maybe some fossils though. I tresspassed to get a real quick shot off the road a bit. I wish i could get in the bottom of the pit and get a closeup looking upabove and below the gray layerin one shot.

Perhaps if you could find out who owns the property, you might be able to obtain permission to enter the property legally and get some more photos.

There are a lot of contrasting colors and patterns which make this a very interesting shot.

Thats a good idea, and quite possible Ill see what I can do. It would be great to be able break out the tripod and concentrate on composing the shot ratherthan:|and run.
