So far, everyone is doing Incandescent (tungsten) outdoors to yield a blue tinted picture.

In this test, I photographed a yellow rose (in between rainshowers) in bright sunlight using cloudy WB. I then set manual WB from green grass. The second photo shows the result. The result, in my opinion, looks like a legitimate Salmon colored rose.





Note-- I was more concerned with the effects of the white balance setting on the color of the rose than I was with composition. The composition of these shots will never win a prize!

woah...very cool!

i like both...but the second works for me!

looks like a cloudy day, and darker green leaves!

I would say that the 2nd pic. seems like a faded pic. compared to the first shot...nice use with the WB setting.
