Kind of convenient that it is the Whitestone Bridge, eh?

Took this today, while I was out photographing with my friend, and I remembered this week's challenge. I set white pointing the camera at the grass where I was standing.

No editing whatsoever besides reduction of size, and I also heal-brushed out a nasty little piece of garbage on the shore.

Taken with Konica-Minolta DiMage Z3, Programmed Exposure mode. Approximately 4:30 PM

Excellent example of creative use of WB. I'll bet you didn't have any idea how it would turn out. The result is stunning. So, in the future, if you want a lavender hued image, set the WB on grass or any other green surface.

The WB shift has turned this into almost a silhouette.

I kind of had an idea. I'm familiar with lighting and complements having taken two technical theater courses in college.

On my camera, as soon as I focus-lock, I get a real-time preview of how the image will look. I was pleased with the purple but even moreso when I brought it onto the computer and got a nice large view. It really turned out very interesting.
