I guess this will work for this challenge? It is an old one taken with a cheap point and shoot before I got serious about this hobbie. All comments welcome!

Off topic: mommy_culleton I noticed your image is a flute.

I'm trying to find good video lessons on learning the flute. It has been very difficult to find anything that is simple enough for me. Any suggestions?

Beautiful colours! Is that how it came from the camera, or have you done some twiddling?

Thanks....It came straight from the camera. There was a blacklight going too. I forgot to mention that earlier. So it's not just the candles obviously. Just thought I'dmention it though.:idea:Thanks a lot for the comments!

How can someone like something and not like it at the same time? I have been looking at this picture since it was first posted, trying to formulate an opinion.

I like the colors and abstraction. The silhouette against the candles, balanced by the flourescent objects in the room make a good balance. The composition is great as is the exposure. The problem is that this style of photograph is simply "not my cup of tea." I think Grady has done a great job technically but I don't like it. I guess I am too old to understand the younger generation's art!

My sister once said to my father (both passed away) "You love me but you don't like me". On the surface it seems like a contradiction but it is not. I think the same principal applies here. This is an excellent photo but I don't like it! Think about it...

Thanks for the comments! I'm sorry you didn't like it Carl but appreciate you not just ripping it because you don't like it. Your post was great! Thanks...
