It appears that your objective was to capture the moon and the waterfall together which you have done. However, it doesn't work. First off, the moon is over exposed. Second, in order to get both objects in the picture, you had to zoom out.

This is a case where the moon adds nothing to the picture. You should have zoomed in on the waterfall and filled the frame with it. I have had several instructors preach the "KISS" (keep it simple, stupid!). What they mean is get in close or zoom in close to the main subject and fill the frame with it. You could crop this photo to include just the waterfall but the quality would not be good. You lose too much detail by enlarging a small element in a picture.

If you can go back, try zooming in and shoot just the waterfall.

I found it to be out of focus and have experienced this myself when focusing at night.

Generally, autofocus does not work well at night. As a general rule, you should always use manual focus if available.
