This was my 1st attempt at fireworks, pretty poor in comparison to the shots posted here, but I thought i would contribute anyhow. Next year should be better.

Shot in fireworks mode.

Personally it's not comparing good or bad - it's the learning that I get from seeing other people's.

In this case, I think that perhaps a longer exposure would have produced more 'flare'.

A longer exposure would show more of the burst but I'm not sure. I like the reflection in the water but I think zooming in a little more would help. The colors in the burst come through nicely which indicates that the aperture setting was about right.
