All shot last night (4th). Basically just cropping, and maybe a little additional color in one or two.

This first one reminded me of a flowers for some reason.

This one I probably over-did it one the color, because it was very colorfull to begin with.

Finally, my favorite. Not because it's a good shot or anything, but because of the effect. When you see this live, it's just this happy smiley face thing.....but delay the exposure and you get a somewhat evil looking smiley face!

I like the third shot the best although the colors are not realistic. If you exposed your pictures correctly, you shouldn't need to make any adjustments in PS. It is very easy to overexpose fireworks and they come out white. It is better to try for the dark side of the exposure range. This will bring out the natural colors of the displays. If necessary, you can lighten slightly in PS.

My wife and I watched the NYC fireworks display on TV last night and they had a lot of those "Happy faces". We also watched the "Largest fireworks display west of the Mississippi", the Vancouver, WA display. They had quite a few of the shaped bursts. Some were circles with lines through them. Some looked like flowers. We had just returned from a weekend trip to the Central Oregon Dessert and didn't feel like going out to see any fireworks.
