We do have the distinction of being the last state to celebrate the Fourth of July.

These are about the best of the lot. Without a tripod it was a challenge.

Both taken at 0.62 secs, f3.5, ISO400. Some postprocessing to darken the background and get rid of the noise.

A little soft but the composition, exposure and colors are great. Looks like you had a great display to watch. Were these taken in Honolulu? Maybe Diamond Head?

Cal,

These were taken at the Ala Moana Shopping Center upper deck garage. The shopping Center puts on a July 4 display each year using the adjacent Magic Island Beach area to launch the fireworks.

Without a tripod and amngst some other 50,000 onlookers I had to use relatively short exposure times. Even if I had a tripod it would have been difficult because of the vibration on the upper decks of the garage.

Cheers
