This challenge is bringing out the creativity in everyone. They get me to work harder at being a better photographer; maybe I will get to good before I retire. Hear are my two tries. Both are with a Pentax DS @ 55mm (1.5 x 55 = 82.5 EQ35mm) 3 sec f 5.6 about a mile away. There is some luck in this. To many bright ones and it is a mess. Wait to long to open the shutter and you miss the good ones. Lastly, location has a lot to do with what you get.

I may have to leave town soon (hurricane is a coming) so I may not be able to reply to anything but I will read them when I get back and reply then. Thanks in advance.

That first one is a keeper! I love the way you have captured the pink glow of the fireworks in the water. You have also done a great job of combining a fireworks shot with a nighttime landscape. Great work.

The second shot doesn't attract as much interest because the fireworks and reflection are white. It is still a great combination of fireworks and night landscape.
