Brad, after reading your title and then looking at the picture, I am wondering if this is a fountain type firework designed for home use or actually a pile or container of gunpowder. I suspect the first case.

Great shot. A little hot in the middle but not really blown out. The tracers are very clear and the color is good.

Cal, thanks.

This is a pile of gunpowder, well actually its 10/90 titanium powder/gun powder (by weight), the titanium powder ads the long sparks that would otherwise be absent with just straight gun powder.

I used an electrical igniter, made of some resistance wire (like that found in a toaster) and a battery, to light the powder.

The flame is only about 6 inches tall.

As for the origin of the gunpowder, it is home made, I ordered the highest purity chemicals available, and milled them for 2 days straight.

Thanks Again.
