Took this earlier this year with the FZ20. It was cold! Shots like this are what hold the FZ20 back. With a digital SLR (Rebel, etc), noise is much less of a problem. I find keeping the iso setting at 100 max mayrequire a longer exposure, but there will be less noise in the final shot. Enjoy. http://public.fotki.com/mhansen/

That has to be one of the most beautiful moon shots I have ever seen. Everything comes together to make this work. The colors are wonderful. The silhouette of the trees is a perfect setting for the bright golden moon. Extremely well done!

Thank you Cal. I saw the Moon here at home, got in the car and drove around looking for a good treeline to have in the photo. Found this one a few minutes from home.

A digital SLR would give better results with much less noise.

Best Regards!

Hello mhansen! I very much agree with cal! I've tried doing this shot several times but I never get results like this, Great job! I have found that Neat Image does a pretty decent job cleaning up the noise in my shots, and it's free.

Beautiful shot! You can almost feel the chill in the air. There are a lot of noise filters out there, and post processing is no crime! If it were we'd all be arrested by now.
