I'm afraid this one doesn't do much for me. Without significantly increasing the brightness on my monitor, I can only see three of the stars in Orion. The problem here is that the light on the house and in front of it are too bright to show along with the stars. A split neutral density filter would have helped with the dark part down. This would have darkened the lights and allowed the stars to be more prominently displayed.

If you have read any of my posts over the last few days, you probably get the idea that I like split ND filters which is true. They can solve many difficult exposure problems that cannot be solved with camera settings, alone.

Your composition is great if one could see all of it.

Works for me... I can see the whole constellation. Inspiration to try some constellations of my own.

Cal,

Your monitor is adjusted wrong. Go to the links belowand follow the instructions: http://www.graaa.org/monitor.htm

http://www.astropix.com/HTML/J_DIGIT/MON_STEP.HTM

This will help you see what you should, and keep you from misadjusting your own photos!

Best Regards,

hansen
