This is a scanned 35mm slide. Here is one of those brightly colored playground sets that you see all over the US. All four primary colors are represented here. That's my wife playing photographer on the right.

So this is what they look like before the graffiti 'artists' get to them

Oursstart offlovely, bright and colourfulas do yours, then the 'colourful' language is added.

It's nice to see that your youngsters appreciate what is available to them, just wish oursdid too :roll:.

That's interesting, Stevekin. I have never seen a set of playground equipment in the Portland area with grafitti on it. There is grafitti on everything else but not playground equipment.

Unfortunately it is a sign of the times here, (all across the U.K.),and seems to have been for many years.

It's not the youngsters that the play areas are intended for, it's the youths, who congregate in these areas and think it's clever to scrawl obsceneties on anything that doesn't move.
