It doesn't get much faster than this.... Turtle races!! In the turtle racing capital of the world, Longville MN.

And they're off like a herd of turtles! I know they have frog jumping contests especially in Calaveras County, California but I didn't know about turtle races. I assume the first one to reach the outer circle is the winner.

Oh my goodness...this looks like so much fun!!! It reminds me of when my kids had a hamster and they had her entered in a hamster car race. It was so darn cute as they had a hamster wheel in a little race car and it was hilarious watching the li'l critters wheel it to the finish line!

You are correct Cal, everyone starts in the inner circle and holds them, and when the announcer says go and starts the music, everyone runs to the outside and waits for the first one to reach the outer circle. They have little stickers with registeration numbers on them to tell them apart.
The kids had fun, something different than TV, DVD's or playstation all summer long:roll:.
Those hamster car races sound cool too.
