I took these a few weeks ago. I really was suprised how the first one turned out. I was expecting the lights to show up in solid lines, but the lights were flashing on and off so this is what I ended up with. If you look at the center of the ride the lines are solid, were it rotates faster. If I would of used even a slightly longer shutter speed I believe they would of all turned solid. But i like this effect much better.

Very impressive. I expected much more people movement with a 2-sec exposure in the first shot. Personally I like the discontinuous effect Theer appears to be almost no background digital noise. Did you use a noise reduction utility? or is your camera's noise reduction superb?

In that first picture, the lights on the ride must have been flashing or strobing. Otherwise they would have shown as streaks as in your second picture. Great shot. I like the way you captured the couple that was apparently posing for another camera.

Both shots are cool, but I really like #1.

Very Nice! Makes me want to go to the fair again! The first shot is my favorite. The lights on the Tilt-a-Whirl is fantastic! And the people with movement makes the shot move! Thanks!-Freida
