I don't know how difficult it would be to guess what this is a photo of.

Photo Details: 1/13 sec., f/2.0, Leica Digilux 2

Great photo! Those look like carved and decorated walking sticks to me. The color and composition are outstanding!

Cal/Selvin, these ARE carved and are obviously decorated, but sorry, they're not walking sticks. Please try again. :blah:

Well, first of all they have lovely patterns on them. I had to look closely to noticed they were carved. At a quick glance I thought they were scarves!

So thanks for the first clue and I am guessing that they are "rain sticks", you know the things you turn upside down and they have beads in them and sound like rain as they are falling????????????????????????

Do I win??

well they do have Australian aboriginal art all over them so I was thinking a digeridoo, they look like baseball bats to me

or they could be rolls of materials of cloth etc

but I will go with the digeridoo:-)

Bullhorns, scarves and rainsticks -- very good guesses all, Rose. Although incorrect, rainsticks would certainly seem close, just by looking at the photo.

Yeah, sorry SB, no dice. But these would make very funky looking clothing articles if they were fabric, no?
