OK, the only clue on this one is that it was shot sometime during my Hawaiian Cruise a few weeks ago.

If nobody guesses it soon, I will give some clues.

Note--You won't find this shot in my Photobucket Hawaii or Cruise albums.

The shower on the ship didn't have a mat. Instead it had a non-skid surface on the floor. However, you are "in the ballpark."

Well Cal, this one seems to be a stumper. This appears to be a pattern formed by tiles of some sort -- I think I can make out gaps between the tiles. Perhaps they're soft tiles used for the wall or floor or even the ceiling?

Well, my husband is guessing a window covering but I'm saying the mat they put on the dining table under your plate?

BTW...nice to see you!

Davephoto is on the right track. If you look at the first post in this thread (with the photo) there are two links to photo albums of my Hawaii trip. Two photos in the "Pride of America" album show this mystery item. I am not saying which ones.

No, nothing to do with the pool, specifically, although it may be found near the pool and many other areas on the ship.

I thought I posted a reply to this but it got lost somehow.

Rose, your answer is close enough. It is non-skid matting that is use on many outside decks on the ship that are exposed to weather. The shuffleboard court is a solid tile material but it is surrounded by the blue matting.

I took the photo with the idea of creating a wallpaper for my computer. I extracted one small square which contained all elements of the pattern, cleaned it up a bit, reduced the size, and voila!, I have a blue mat tiled on my screen!

I have numerous other pattern photos which I may be posting but they are pretty obvious as to what they are.
