Each time I look at this picture, I see something different. There are some optical illusions working here and it is not easy to get the true perspective. I love the patterns in the facade and the roof line. A truly beautiful building. It might be interesting to get a shot from farther away for comparison and to show the perspective a little better.

Daz,

The ambience of the Church is reduced by the power lines.

The first shot seems to highlight the pattern effect much more effectively.

Selvin, I agree with you on the second photo. I don't like it at all. I took the photo and posted it as requested so that it could be compared to the first photo. When I was considering the church for its patterns I rejected it because the second photo was from the street where I first observed it and it look so poor because of the power lines. But it is a very interesting building with many patterns all thru it. I kept looking at it trying to use (what Calr calls) my "photographer's eye" till I had the first photo in my head. Then I had the camera take that photo.

I, also agree that the first picture is the best but the second is good have to lend perspective to the first.
