Is it animal or mineral. I suspect it is ocean related, somehow. I am also bumping this (shhh, don't tell anybody!) so it doesn't get lost.

Freidaw, you're getting warm.

Thunder, its not a yellow jacket nest, it's not sunflower, not cactus, but it is defnitely vegetable matter.

Itwas a living thing but not from the ocean. What complicates this isthe object seen is not in it's normal living state. This is after it's demise and nature has taken over.

I'll add another dimension to this. The picture below is a flower bud from this vegetable matter.

I don't think it is but then again I don't know what a loufa is.

A Luffa (looked up the spelling) sponge is that long sponge you find in the store to wash your back! And make it red!

No, not a luffa but in terms of appearance, very close since I just looked up pictures of the loufa (luffa) gourd.

Saguaro Cactus? Old man cactus? Okay, so it is a cactus right? Okay, I just went to the local Vegetable stand and it stuck me that it could be the under section of a mushroom? Nah, never mind. I forgot about the other picture! This ones hard one!
