Wanted to edit this picture a little bit, but I will rather post it as is:

Wish I had a camera with better ISO capabilities, but well, the picture is not that noisy, and it's not a usual scene.

Good post! The only reason it's fuzzy is because the people are dancing and enjoying the performers!

You should tell us more about the shot though. Who are they, where are they playing and what inspired you to take the shot.

I have an enquiring mind and I'd like to know.

Hi,

Of course I can write more detail. I live in Querétaro, Mexico (it's around 150 miles northwest of Mexico City). Since I'm new in this region, I used a few days to visit the mountain area of my state called "Sierra Gorda". This is dense mountain range where you can drive 30 miles and go from 8500 feet to 2300 feet, this makes climate changes quite interesting (from arid to cool-humid and warm-humid). One of the places that's near this area is called "Las Pozas" (the gardens of Edward James), you can look for them in Google, it's an interesting place.

But well, going back to the picture, it was taken in a small town called Jalpan, it's at 2300 feet, one of the lowest places in the area. It was taken on independence day in Mexico, (night of 15/16 September) during the festivities. I am used to Mariachi music from mayor cities, but this festivity was kind of new for me as all the music that was played was "huapango", and the atmosphere of this region is quite interesting.

Hope this information is interesting for you.

Regards

BTW, I finally decided to edit this photo and get some effects into it. What do you think?

The few times I've been to San Antonio I've always loved the sounds of the Mariachi Bands. Your capture of the Huapango brings back fond memroies.
