Here is a stitched panorama of a lighting display shot last year. I have posted it before but not for a challenge.

Stitched from four individual shots.

Nikon D100.

Good panorama Cal! A nice image of a beautiful display but I can't get over the fact that there's no snow! I'm from Canada, eh! Lots of snow during holiday season...

It hasn't snowed (sticking to ground) in the Portland, OR area for several years. However, as "cold" (30's to low 40's) as it has been the past couple of weeks, I suspect we'll see the white stuff this year. There was a snowstorm last week that almost got here but not quite. The higher elevations got quite a lot. Here in the Portland area, we are just a couple hundred feet above sea level.

Thanks for your comment on the photo. I am going to go out and shoot some more this weekend. I heard something on the radio about a humongous display somewhere but I didn't catch where. I will search it out and report back to the group.

Cal,

Wonderful pano. The sharpness throughout the entire scan is excellent. Given the high cost of fuel and consequently electricity here in Hawaii I am beginning to wonder if the number of seasonal lites will decrease this year.

Great job.

Aloha

Cal, this is pretty but it's strange to me not to see any snow around it.

Selvin and Dale, as far as energy costs are concerned, just switch to LED lights!! They are much brighter and they use 80% less electricity of regular Christmas lights!! So no excuse there!!:blah:
