The Japanese celebrate the Arrival of the New Year with gusto. Just about everything has a deeper meaning.The Kadomatsu is prominently displayedineach household during the New Year Season.

"Around New Year's Eve, floral arrangements composed of bamboo and pine tree boughs are prominently displayed in the homes of traditional Japanese families.
The arrangement also originally used plum tree branches.
The pine tree represented longevity, the bamboo prosperity, and the plum constancy. "

Thank you for sharing that, Selvin. I was not aware of that Japanese tradition. It's a beautiful shot. The only distraction is the price tags!
