This was quite accidental I only noticed the number on the side of the box kite as I was processing the image from RAW.

I have seen a lot of different kinds of kites but that's the first time I've seen the dice rolled up in the air. It looks like a kind of box kite but the traditional box has a box frame with a band of fabric wrapped around both ends. It take a lot of wind to keep one of those in the air. This model looks like it might be even harder to keep up.

Great shot!

Cal

You are right Cal , it did not fly very well.

There was a nice afternoon sea breeze and they were flying the kites off a small hill but this kite seemed very unstable.

This is why I did not notice the number on the side, I was too busy following it all over the sky.

Do kites fly up-side down in the Land down under? After all, they have mammals that lay eggs, why not up-side down kites?

Nice execution of the challenge. Incidentally, could the lack of a tail be the reason for the instability?
