Black Currants. We grow approximately 5,000 bushes here in Hastings, Minnesota and sell the berries to a Professional Winemaker.

I've seen lots of different kinds of berries but I think this is the first time I've seen Currants. I don't think they grow in the West.

Like Cal, I've never seen currants in the raw before. I usually viewed them with curiosity and something just shy of disdain since they conjured up fruit cakes at Christmas time.
