Meets the challenge. I did find the background a bit distracting. Plain vanilla colors are generally the best for these situations.

The white balance also seems a bit off. Focus and detail are right on.

Aloha and thanks for sharing.

I agree on the choice of background. I'm not sure about the white balance but the picture appears dark to me. It needs more light.

Selvin and Cal,

Thanks for the feetback. The background is a bit busy. I am not sure about the white balance it may be off a bit as well but will try again.

Just a note on white balance. If you had it set to auto and it took its reading from that blue background, that would definitely throw the color off.

We had a challenge on white balance a few months back. There are some good notes in the challenge description and some useful comments and suggestions in many of the postings for the challenge. To find it, refer to the "Past/Future Challenge" posting anchored near the top of this forum and click on the link for the white balance posting. When you open that posting, make note of the date. You will need the date when searching back through the forum messages to find the date range. Once you find it, there is a lot of interesting information there. Note--There are thousands of postings in the Challenge forum, so be patient in your search.
