To me it's always looked like a giant satellitedish. But it is quite impressive when you see it in person. The conditions were totally wrong for this shot asI was out shooting some menacing clouds this day.











This is what thesky looked like about fifteen minutes before this photo was taken.

So that's where the alien base is located! We been lookin' for that for years!

It would have been a great shot if you had spot metered on the "dish". This would blow out the sky but give you good exposure on the building. The other option is to find a different shooting location where the sky is a little darker and yet you can still get the whole building in the shot.

Then on the other hand, you could cheat and do it all in PS or PSP. However, we are trying for good shots out of the camera, right?

Agree with Cal, the lighting could be improved as he recommended.
