How about an explanation of what this is and how it was shot.

As Cal said, what is this? I see a small circle in the lower right but I am interested in learning more about the shhot.

It is not a very complicated shot. It is a ball bearing in a semi-transparent orange plastic bowl. The large arc to the left is the base of the bowl. The small indistinct oval in the upper left quadrant is probably an injection site left over from the molding process.

The shot was taken in macro mode and using the built in flash which gives the 'catch light' in the ball bearing.

I'm afraid, once it is explained, it isn't quite as interesting.
