Spring Has Sprung: New seedlings taking flight.

Not sure what plant these seedlings will turn into, but I have millions of these little seedlings all over.

Lovely capture of this spring phenomenon.

In Hawaii, we have at least two plants with similar fluffy seeds. This includes a variety of milkweedhttp://www.pbase.com/selvin/image/28889715and the second avariety of Jasmine http://www.pbase.com/selvin/image/24315380.

The jasmine looks the most similar in appearance so your plant may belong to this family.

Aloha

Cool! I forget what we used to call these as kids, but you're supposed to make a wish when you catch one!

Great picture. I believe those are milkweed seeds. A great place to find monarch butterfly caterpilllers and cocoons.

Spectacular shot ................ and yes it is milkweed! Funny that from Georgia to Ontario we have the same tradition of making a wish when you catch one!

Perfect start to spring.

Yeah... well not so funny. I grew up in Buffalo. I don't see milkweed around here in Georgia very often. I think it's a Northern tradition. I was starting to think I made it up! Glad to hear you did it too!

Welp, not sure what it is called, since I am fairly still new to living here in the states.

Just thought it made a very nice interesting photo and one that I could share.

Thanks for the great replies all
