I went to reshoot the daffodils at f/4, but they have seen better days, so I went with these guys. I also found two other plants that will soon have their own threads.

Thanks for all of the comments on the daffodil shot.

Once again, I would like to see a bit larger image.

As you have probably seen me comment, I think this image needs more light. Fill flash would definitely help. Also, this image seems to be a bit out of focus. Perhaps that is a result of reducing the size.

I would really like to see the detail in these flowers. I don't know if I've ever seen these before.

Cal:

Thanks for commenting on all three of the posts.

Here is the pic, cropped slightly. Hopefully with more detail. It appears that not many of the buds were facing the camera (or better put, the camera was not facing the faces of many of the buds). But you should get a better feel for them.

BTW - these plants are mangy messes once they drop the flowers, growing scattershot in all directions. But when in bloom, they are the surest sign of spring around.

Maybe my 60 year old eyes don't see as good as they used to but I like this image much better than the first. The detail is much clearer and the overall image is brighter. Good work.

as41shots,

The crop is mucho better! I've seen the Forsythia bushes and you are correct they are all over the place. Those flowers take joy in being a mess. The color really stands out in the crop.
