Crystal clear water (and also very cold during this time of the year). This little river runs along Hwy 50 going up to South Lake Tahoe.

A very nice scene indeed. I have dozens of photos similar to this one but when I was looking through them, none of them seemed to be what I thought Selvin was looking for. However, come to think of it, calm, serene water in a river stream is one of Water's myriad forms!

Good work. Now I am going to have another look at those photos I passed up!

Cal

Hey, this is really nice! I usually avoid capturing images in the winter because I think everything looks ugly but I see by your image that I'm totally wrong!! I guess my camera will be comin' along with me next winter! Thanks for posting this image...you've enlightened me! Nice work!

Thanks very much, Cal and StitchBabe for your kind words.

StitchBabe, do take the camera with you next winter. I find it full of great photographic opportunities. I visited Tahoe back in Feb right after I bought my H1 and took many, many great pictures from the area. The air is crisp, the sky has a deep blue tone to it, the water is crystal clear and the snow can be quite appealing (as long as the camera handles it well, without turning everything blue).
