I think the composition here is great but I don't like the water. I think the shutter speed either needed to be slower for the fuzzy water effect or faster for sharper water.

tullio,

i agree with cal on this one. i think you need to go back either very early in the morning or late in the afternoon and take the shot with a slower shutter speed. the falls look like they have the potential for great shot and i think you're close to it - you just have to get there at the right time.

i had to visit this location a half-dozen times before i get what i was looking for and i still got my stinking foot in the photo!

Thanks for the comments and advise, Turnbill. Your shot is awesome (even with your stinking foot in it:lol. I love the water effect. Unfortunately, the Gold Country is not a place I can just go visit one Saturday late afternoon. It's a three-hour trip from home. However, I am planing to go back there within the next month or so because we could not visit all the caverns in the area and since it gets very very hot in the Summer, this is the time to go. I will then take your advise and try different settings.
