Alphie,

Reminds me of the Paul Allen radio show and his catch phrase, "And now the rest of the story."

Your crop certainly shows of the old structure but "The rest of the story" saya it all.

Aloha

This pair of photos is a great statement of reality. This is happening all over the country. I have lived in the Portland, OR area for 17 years and am shocked by the amount of farm and forest land that has been cleared and replaced with townhouses and condos. It's a real shame.

These photos are great. Save them to teach your kids what is happening.

Thanks everybody for the comments. I"m definitely going to keep these photos. It's been about six months since I took this pic and already things have changed so much in that area. So far, the barn is still standing. For how long, I don't know.

Darn...this is definitely a sad thing to see... It's happening all over though and yes, these are definitely keeper images for the future as Cal said. Here in B.C., our orchards are rapidly becoming residential, commercial, etc. Once all these farms from all over are gone, then what? Lab food ismore and more becoming a part of our lives....grrrrr!!
