And another. When the mother saw me she began nudging her chicks toward the water (background)...gently but firmly.

These are great photos of mama protecting her babies. Good work. ...and of course this was shot along side a farmyard pond!

Walter,

Very few things are as cute as a mother duck with her ducklings. Having helped raise some of these creatures I have a soft spot for a well done photo of their antics.
