I've taken this picture a while back. It was one of those that I liked but did not know what to do with it. Thanks to Selvin, now I do!

You've definitely got converging lines and a vanishing point on the left side but overall, I find this photo difficult to look at. I think it is the harsh contrast between the sky and the fence. I think you needed to push the contrast ever farther and go for a silhouette or less contrast with more details showing. This is a case where I think color would work better. This is my opinion and mine alone. Selvin and others may disagree.

Thanks for commenting, Cal. I do have a colored version of it. I'll post it tonight when I get home.

Tullio,

I was distracted by the sign. Unfortunately, it exists and Icloning it out would be a task.It competes with thevanishing point effect. Cropping would perhaps destroy the photo.

Cal may be also right about the contrast. I'd also be curois about a color version.

Aloha

I do have a different version of this fence without the sign. I'll post it tonight, perhaps on a different topic so that it's easier for people to open topic since there is not a lot of pictures to download. What do you suggest?
