I would have to say yes, the vanishing point is lost. A couple of people have posted shots where the converging lines were curved and we both agree that qualifies. However, in this shot, the people are hiding the part of the track that really defines this as a converging line, vanishing point photo.

That doesn't make it a bad photo. In fact, it is quite good.

I agree with your byline that the vanishing point is lost. Cal obviously agreed with you but there are traces of the implied vanishing point. So it makes me want to accept the entry.

I do agree that the 'real' impact of the converging line is lost by the children. Thank you Selvin for the acceptance.

Vanishing point aside, this is a nice shot, StitchBabe. I love the color saturation and composition. The DOF is perfect and the fact that the train tracks are blurred at the end really gives an idea of aninfinite path.
