disused railway line now a footpath taken today only had a 50mm lens on me so its a bit out of focus at the vanishing piont will go back tommorrw with a diffrent lens

Downton,

Very good effort, the vanishing point is evident but as you sadi the end is blurred. If your camera has a manual mode set the focus at "infinity". For many cameras, anything beyond 15-20ft is practically infinity.

If you do get to photograph this image again, be sure to post it as it really is an awesome image minus the blur factor. I can surely see a vanishing point here also.

hi went back today as im working not far from path and retook photo not from exactly the same place but on the same stretch of path used an 18-55mm lens on manual focus hope that it is an improvement

Hi downton, yes the second photo is certainlyan improvement. However, the vanishing point is almost gone. I can't barely follow that path pass the tree shadow.

Right on! This is much better than the first one you posted. I think the vanishing point would show up more if the path was more defined. Awesome image, for sure! Thanks for reposting the new image! :G

Leave it to me to cast the dissenting vote! I think the first shot is much better. There is too much bare dirt in the foreground in the second. I think the composition of the first is better and it fits the challenge better.
