I hope this counts. I took this through a second floor window.

I had to look awhile to find the convergance and the vanishing point and then I found it in the train. I was going to ask about the vertical streaks on the left side until I saw that you shot it through a window.

I made this suggestion to someone else a couple days ago and I'll repeat it here in case you missed it. When shooting through a window. try to get as close to the glass as possible, even touching it if you have a uv filter attached. This accomplishes two things. First, it eliminates reflections and second, any dirt on on the window will be so far out of focus it probably won't show.

The reason for the uv filter has nothing to do with the photo. Pressing against the glass, you could possible scratch the front element of your lens if not protected.

Thanks except for the reflection I like this photo. I think it was double glass I right on it. I'll try to post another pick before the end of the challenge.

I think it's a great photo and the reflection can be cropped off. I like the parallel "S" lines between the train and the road next to it.

Here's the cropped version. You still see some reflection but not nearly as much!

Blaine lovely shot, Tullio's crop gives it a bit more snap.

I love the "S" of the train, and "S"s could be another challenge for another day.

Welcome back, haven't seen you for manymoons.

Agree with all that's been said already. Surely can't go wrong with the classic 'S'!! :-)

Tullio thanks, the crop version looks great. I wanted to say this actually isn't Tazwell but the town next to it. I don't remember the name of the town though. Tazwell had like 4 stores in It I think. Hmm if there is an S challenge I'll have to find another photo.
