Behind my yard is what is known as a "green belt" area, some of the 75+ miles of them in the area I live. Around here it is also know as a bayou, and yankees call it a big ditch. How ever looking north you get a prettty good view of the tree line for about a mile or so.

In your other Green Belt photo, I asked if this were an old railroad trackbed or a levee. I think I'll stick with the second guess as this seems to look like a canal with levees on both sides.

Another great shot.

Nice shot. I'd say the right side (hill)of the water stream creates a more definite vanishing point than the trees.

Very nice shot of what I think is as Cal describes it a levee. The setting with the trees works very well to compliment the vanishing point.

As Tullio noted the trees are really not an effective vanishing point because of the uneveness and therefore non-parallel nature making it difficult to ascribe a vanishing point.

Not a levee, this is used for drainage, maybe a better classification would be a man made river, as these typically drain into a real river somewhere. In this case about a mile south. There is a small constant water supply (think creek) at the bottom, but during tropical storms I have seen it up to half full (like Alison back in 01).
