Great shot but how'd you do it? Was that shot during the day or evening? I really like the was the moon fades to nothing.

Hi Cal, the shot was taken early in the morning as I was about to leave to work. That's how the moon appeared in the sky. I took many shots of it and this was one of the better ones.

Tullio,

Wow! You clearly show in blue one of the reasons for the advice to shoot the moon when it's not full. The effect of the craters etc. appears to be more dramatic than a full moon.

Not knowing the original zoom of the Sony what was the total tele-zoom when combined it h the 1.7 tele-converter? I would not have expected such a short exposure (1/320s). I know the moon is brighter than it appears but given the combination of lenses used I would have expected something in the range of 1/80s.
